Bellevue Gifted School Program

The Robinson Center's Summer Program provides an intensive, inspirational, and in-depth learning experience for students who are prepared to take on the challenge. We offer a rich variety of math, science, literature, philosophy, and writing classes. Classes are small in size and taught by faculty members who are experienced teachers and specialists in their fields.Summer Challenge, for current 5th-6th graders, emphasizes hands-on learning, field trips, and activities; Summer Stretch, for current 7th-10th graders, is more academic in nature, providing an accelerated, rigorous learning experience.

Both programs are characterized by high-level thinking, intellectual adventure, and pursuit of understanding. Registration for Summer Stretch (current 7th - 10th graders) will begin on February 4th, at 8:00 AM.

Registration for Summer Challenge (current 5th and 6th graders) will open on February 11th, at 8:00 AM.NWGCA tip: Registration can fill quickly. The most popular classes may fill within a few hours. Adventure Treks has been providing safe outdoor experiences for teens since 1978! Our Adventure Programs are offered during the summer, while our School Programs are offered in the fall.

Find a little bit of France in the San Juan Islands at this Northwest Washington sleepaway summer camp, canoeIsland French Camp is one of the country's premier French residential camps, located near Seattle, Vancouver BC, and Victoria BC. Children, ages 9-16, take part in a unique mix of French language and culture through artistic and outdoor activities. Fencing, archery, sailing, kayaking, swimming, photography, marine biology, and French culture, cuisine and language are options every day. At Canoe Island French Camp we try to insure that our older campers have opportunities to plan and do activities as a group with staff: sunset campfires on a beach, an off-island trip to Friday Harbor, and one-or two-night sailing and kayaking outings. Tipis are arranged by age and, where possible, French class and French Culture class, too.

With only 45 campers on the island, you can choose your own experience - artistic and theatrical, adventuresome and athletic - or any combination.
